Absolutely critical for medical and wellness practices. Lab management is such a central part of ongoing patient care that having to order, track, review, and follow up on labs outside of Boulevard creates unnecessary fragmentation.
Ideally, Boulevard should allow us to order labs directly from the patient chart, receive and review results in the same place, document that results were reviewed, and automatically trigger follow-up reminders or repeat lab orders based on the treatment plan.
It would also be extremely helpful to have:
- A clear indicator when labs are ordered, pending, resulted, or overdue
- The ability to assign repeat labs at a specific interval
- Automated reminders to the patient when labs are due
- A way for staff/providers to see which patients still need labs completed
- Results stored directly with the appropriate patient encounter and treatment timeline
For practices managing hormones, weight loss, functional medicine, and other ongoing medical treatments, this would eliminate a huge amount of manual tracking and reduce the chance that important follow-up labs are missed.
