Strongly in favor of this. Having to create a completely new appointment just to correct a checkout or payment issue creates several downstream problems that go far beyond a minor inconvenience.

It can make it appear that paperwork or consents associated with the “new” appointment were never completed, even though they were properly completed and attached to the original visit. That creates unnecessary confusion in the client record and can make documentation look incomplete when it actually is not.

It also distorts reporting. Creating duplicate appointments for a single actual visit makes the schedule look more booked than it really was, inflates appointment volume, and can affect utilization and other reporting metrics.

We should be able to reopen the original ticket/encounter to correct the payment method, and also edit whether a service was actually performed or not performed without having to create a separate appointment.

Sometimes services are added, removed, or changed during the visit. The final encounter should accurately reflect what actually happened that day.

This would keep the clinical record cleaner, keep reporting accurate, and eliminate a lot of unnecessary administrative work.

Absolutely critical for med spas. Different provider roles have different expectations around gratuity, and the checkout experience should reflect that.
In our setting, some services may appropriately allow tipping while others should not. Having gratuity turned on or off only at the business level creates an awkward and inconsistent client experience.

Boulevard should allow gratuity settings to be configured by provider, role, or even service category so businesses can decide exactly when the tip screen should appear.

This seems like another relatively simple customization that would make Boulevard work much better for med spas and other businesses with mixed provider types.

Yes to this, but I would take it one step further. Boulevard should not only alert the front desk when required consents or paperwork are incomplete at check-in, but also perform another consent check before the client can be checked out.
Treatments often change during an appointment. A client may add an injectable, procedure, or other service that requires an additional consent form that was not assigned before they arrived. In that situation, checking paperwork only at the beginning of the appointment does not solve the problem.

Ideally, Boulevard would automatically compare the services actually performed against the required consents and clearly alert staff if anything is missing before checkout can be completed. Something as simple as: “Required consent outstanding for [service]. Please complete before checkout.”

This would give practices two important checkpoints: before treatment and before the patient leaves. For medical practices especially, this is more than a convenience feature. It helps prevent missed documentation and creates a much safer, more reliable workflow.

This seems like another relatively straightforward automation that could prevent a very real operational and compliance issue.

Another very simple request that would make a big difference in the client experience. Clients should not have to repeatedly type their name, date of birth, and the current date into every form when Boulevard already has that information in their profile.

These fields should automatically populate when the form is assigned to the client. This is standard functionality in many form systems and would reduce frustration, save time at check-in, and decrease data-entry errors.

With 346 votes, this clearly is not an isolated complaint. These are the kinds of small workflow improvements that have a major cumulative impact on both staff and clients.

Boulevard, how many votes does a straightforward request like this need before it is prioritized? Your customers are telling you exactly where the friction points are. Please listen to that feedback and address these basic usability issues.
