Toggle tipping on/off per service or providers
Have an option for tips to not be an option for some services. "Tippable services" so when we are checking people out it wont ask on services that do not allow tips.

This is a super important deficiency in the software for medspa users. We had someone leave a 20% tip on a couples Emsculpt neo abs service which LISTS for $1,700, but the membership rate was only $450. The tech happily accepted the gratuity of $340 insisting that the client "wanted" to leave the tip (when they had never left so much as a dime in the 12 previous visits paying through our prior POS system). Despite repeatedly instructing the front desk to skip those services, we had repeated issues with clients leaving tips for services they shouldn't be tipping on, like injectables. Now we have tipping turned off completely and we have to verbally ask guests if they want to leave anything for the esthetician. The software we upgraded from gave us the flexibility to select which services could receive tips and that was designed over 20 years ago. Also... for medspas, we should have the ability to have a "suggested" gratuity that varies by the service as well. A laser tech shouldn't be getting 20% on an $800 Moxi, but that's fine on a hydrafacial. Lastly, the tip calculates on the original cost of the service instead of the membership rate of the service. We should have the option to decide whether the calculation is on the original $199 price of the Diamond Glow or the $159 member rate. Tipping is a sore subject for a lot of people. These insanely high tipping amounts can look offensive and leave a bad taste in the guest's mouth.

Yes! With 1 Dr, 2 NPs, an RN, and multiple MAs, this is HUGE! We have to ask the patient to skip the tip question or do it for them every time. We have to keep this feature turned on for our 3 estheticians who CAN accept tips though.

I always have to tell people not to leave tips for the sauna or the salt room. I just tell them that my software won't let me turn it off. It definitely gets old having to say that.

I would like gratuity to be assignable to aestheticians and/or specific treatment (for facials), but not for RN injector for medical treatments such as botox/filler

This is critical for licensed healthcare providers. According to the AMA, tipping practices can be puishable if they violate the Code of Medical Ethics. The allowance/acceptance should be deactivated for certain providers. It's unproffessional and AWKWARD at check out. If Boulevard wants to be competitive in the medspa arena with healthcare providers, this is an absolute. Typically a client wouldn't expect to tip their plastic surgeon.

There is no option to make a service that doesn't use a provider therefore our sauna is able to receive tips. I always tell people that our software won't let me turn that off. It gets kind of embarrassing to apologize for that every time (4 years of doing this so far.)

the option to make gratuity an option for only certain services or at least only certain providers. In some states medical professionals cant accept gratuity but the other service providers can, massage therapist etc

Option to restrict gratuity for only specific services. We don't want our check out system to ask for gratuity except for a few types of appointments.

I am a medical provider, and business owner so I do not accept gratuity. My esthetician however does, and I would like the option to prompt clients to tip her at checkout.

We mostly do cash due to the tax issue (thanks for working on that by the way) but we have a number of people who we need to put on a card. Its really annoying to have to go through a whole song and dance to fix it for one person and then put it back. Toggle should be at check out.

I am constantly apologizing to people that Boulevard forces me to have our Sauna as a provider asking for a tip.
I would love to have the option to turn off tipping on a per-provider basis. At checkout would be a second option, but then you still have to remember to do it at checkout.

There are some services we offer that require little to no effort from our staff (ex. Sauna or Normatec sessions, compared to other services like massage). It feels awkward asking for a tip for such simple services. I would love to have the choice on whether or not to ask the client for tip, like a box we can check or uncheck before we initiate the checkout process.

I agree with this. I do higher end services and would never expect my clients to tip or accept it for that matter. As for my esthe's they could be tipped but blvd makes it all or none!!

The gratuity setting should be customizable by service and not a global setting. We have services that don't need gratuity and it feels icky that the system will prompt people to tip for those services when I can't turn it off

Being able to select services and/or providers that should not receive gratuity would solve this and be so helpful. It is always somewhat awkward to tell people "Make sure you don't tip the sauna"

It would be awesome if we could toggle the gratuity collection for each individual service/transaction before checkout as opposed to it being permanently on or off for all transactions. This would be helpful since not all of our services typically require gratuity and only certain services we would ask for it. That way we would not have to toggle it on or off through the management settings everytime we wanted to request for gratuity. It is very off-putting to our clients when prompted for gratuity on services that don't require them.
Before going to checkout our clients, it would be great if there was one more step that asks "Request gratuity on this transaction?" so that we can choose if we want to ask for it before the client sees the prompt on the iPad.

We have a sauna and a salt cave, it is very annoying to tell people not to leave tips for them. Turning that off would be a welcome change

Gratuity should be customizable so it can be on for providers that want it and off for those that do not.

The business would like to be able to choose to hide gratuity from orders from one provider to another. They would like the gratuity to only show if it was left to the user viewing the order.
