When I have five weeks that mess up a schedule I often just schedule all of the days and then remove the wrong ones.
No matter how I do this I end up with mistakes.

Our old software had a system to look for duplicate profiles and merge them from one screen. It was super easy to go in once a month and merge any duplicates and clean up the list. Boulevard makes it so hard that we just live with duplicates until they cause problems.

I agree that at least larger updates should be overnight. We have run into issues where we refresh the page between checkouts and the entire process is different and we are stuck looking like idiots that don't know how our own software works. I usually blame Boulevard, but the look isn't good for either of us. And often the guidance for new updates lags the actual update by minutes, hours, or days. It should be the other way around "New checkout experience coming tomorrow!"

One way I have made this work in the past is setting up a resource for those services and only opening that resource on the specific day. One problem we have had is sometimes the provider ONLY wants those services, but they are still bookable for other services and their day will fill up with those first.
I completely agree that limitations on what providers can do in a given day is needed!

The ability to tie a provider to a resource would be one way to solve this. Stylist can be tied to "wax room" from 9-2 and Waxer tied to "Wax Room" from 2-8. Then they book the room at that time. And then the option to limit them to services that require that resource.

Getting full parity between summaries and reports would be a start to helping this. There are so many summaries that you cannot recreate in reports, and there are times that it would be so helpful to have them in there!
