  2. Make it possible to send out automated instructions based on appointment type. For example, pre-appointment instructions for hair removal, and then post-appointment instructions telling them how to report any issues. Right now we have to hand them paper to give them written instructions, or send it by hand.

  3. When clients want to modify their appointments outside of our cancellation window - they can agree to the cancellation fee themselves instead of being forced to call the salon. This will help with "last minute" cancellations due to clients being unable to do so online.

  4. I’d love to see Boulevard introduce more flexible, Podium-style review flow settings—specifically the ability to direct clients straight to Google without internal screening.

    Right now, the current workflow adds friction at a critical moment:

    Clients are first asked to complete an internal survey
    Then must find and click a small “Leave a Google Review” button
    Then repeat the process again on Google

    This multi-step experience significantly reduces conversion. Even highly satisfied clients drop off.

    From a modern reputation management perspective, the goal should be frictionless, one-tap review generation at peak satisfaction—not added steps.

  5. We offer a wide variety of services and some of those are not bookable online due to the complexity of them. It would be helpful to add a button for services like this.
    Ex: Client is interested in a color correction. They must select in “call now” to set up the service. Or, client wants extensions but have no idea what application method they should choose. They don’t even know we have those offered as they are not bookable online since it may be a 1hr service or a 6 hour service and they may need to get a color…

This is especially true in HIPAA-compliant med spa settings, where services are more technical than typical salon offerings and often require a personalized assessment before quoting an accurate price. To assist in the capture of leads and enhance client experience, it would be great to integrate an AI receptionist through Boulevard that can answer calls, field questions from leads/clients based on a knowledge database specific to the practice, and assist leads/clients with scheduling appointments -- much like Ring Central's AI receptionist service. The AI would have access to the client database, services, products etc., and would be able to text leads/clients that message through the Boulevard system, which will allow for immediate follow-ups to questions, concerns, or scheduling needs, leading to a better integrated and more complete client experience.…

  8. Please let us edit automated client emails like receipts and confirmations, in more detail. They sound generic, and it’s wild that this basic feature costs extra- as much as a phone bill! We just want our messages to sound like our brand. Many other platforms I compared you to offer client communication at no additional cost or at much higher quantities per tier. Please update this!

  9. I'd like to charge my clients automatically a $25 reservation deposit for their appointments to decrease cancellations and no shows. The $25 would still go towards their service, and for them to automatically pay for it on the online booking overlay.

  10. Allow for practices to set up a "remote calendar" for the purposes of off-site visits. This would not tie appointments to a specific physical location, and we could transfer appointment parameters (i.e., appointment type and time needed) when working at off-site locations. Likewise, clients could have the same great booking experience across all sites, including physical and remote.

  11. Boulevard has MUCH to be desired in terms of client (the business/practice using boulevard) brand awareness. Our business spend a lot of money on marketing and setting ourselves apart from the rest. I am unsure why there are not more personalization options available to the clients who are supporting boulevard. The current options available are even less than what square merchant processer offers.

    My booking overlay appears to be out of the stone age.

  12. Have the ability in the Ratings Text Message sent to clients post appointment to replace the Boulevard Rating Link with a link to our Google Review page. This is more powerful and useful for the business. Clients respond well the ratings link, but many believe they are leaving a google review or the rating gets passed to Google. So now the Team Member has to reach out ans ask them to do it again.

    I’d like to request a feature enhancement for automated messaging within the booking system.

    Currently, automated confirmations and reminders are not customizable by service type. This has created some confusion for our patients—specifically, clients are showing up in person for virtual check-ups because the messaging does not clearly distinguish between in-person and virtual appointments.

    It would be extremely helpful to have the ability to create custom automated messages tied to individual services (or service categories). It would be beneficial if, when creating a new client profile and selecting ‘Referral Source’ as ‘Another Client,’ the system automatically activates the referral program once the referring client is searched and added. This would mirror how the referral program is triggered when a referral link is used.

    This improvement is important because most referrals happen through word of mouth, and clients typically do not use the referral link. Automating this step would ensure referrals are properly tracked and rewarded without adding extra effort for the client or the team.

  15. if a client reschedules their appointment themselves they won't get an updated confirmation email and I need this. this has resulted in double booking themselves or just not showing up.
