Properly support consumable products (product usage)
This is a ticket that compiles everything to support consumable products from how it's setup and managed, how it's sold, and how it's tracked to differentiate it from retail products and back bar consumption.
Many services require multiple products to be used, so allowing for more than one product to be used per service would allow for better inventory tracking

There should be an easy way to track the historical redemption of a client's PPU without needing to pull a report - such as from the wallet tab of the client profile.

Please allow services and add-ons to have multiple product usage options, and allow add-ons to also have add-ons or selectable product options. Currently, we must create multiple duplicate add-ons (e.g., VI Peels, Tox Boosters) just to track inventory correctly. This is inefficient and increases inventory errors. Being able to select which product is used at checkout would greatly improve workflow and accuracy.

This is a complete miss on the part of Boulevard. It has created so much unnecessary manual work and opportunities for errors. We are considering changing our system simply because of this shortcoming.

Be able to utilize voucher for products tied to services. We have our neurotoxin appointment that has 3 options for add ons with the product of "botox" "dysport" or "xeomin" tied to each add on service. We would love to be able to have clients bank units on their account, but currently are unable as the voucher is only good for the whole appointment and not for the individual product (ex: 42u botox)

I hope this is available soon! we just switched to boulevard from another EMR. We charge 'Filler' as a general service, and then select/deduct/attach the product internally. this allows the patients bill to remain generalized, and for us to not have 10+ different Filler services to cover all the different kinds and products. Please update this thread soon!

Enable business usage as a payment type so that we can 1) pull product from inventory, and 2) calculate sales tax owed on products used. This would be applicable for supplements, back bar skincare items, etc. so that use tax can be calculated automatically without inflating sales numbers.

When attaching products to services (Botox, Filler, Tips etc.,) there should be an option to attach multiple products to a service AND adjust the set quantities to customizable amounts in stead of only whole units. Sometimes we need to attach .5 or 1.5 to services rather than 1 or 2!

When applying an offer code, the discount applies to usage-based services as a single discount on the line item. However, it would be beneficial to be able to create an offer that is "$2 per unit" and discounts accordingly based on the number of units used in that service.

When toxin units are purchased in advance, vouchers should be automatically banked in the client’s account and available at checkout for easy use and accurate tracking of remaining units.

Adding another comment in hopes this will be addressed soon. Inventory management is a nightmare. Massive waste of time having staff recount and update products that can't be attached every single week.

Need to have the option for the Business Service Charge to calculate based on Product Usage Cost. We want to see the cost of the product deduct from the service price and have commission calculate off of that sub-total.
Example- Botox is $15/unit and want $6.32/unit to be removed and have commission calculate off of that subtotal.
10 units at $15 = $150.00 minus 10 units at $6.32 = $86.80 (the service subtotal that commission will calculate off of)

If a person buys multiple units of a product, the offer code should apply to each unit bought. it's only taking a discount off of 1 product. If a patient is using more than 1 unit, we have to go in and manually add a discount, which defeats the purpose of the offer code.
i.e. patient wants to purchase 2 syringes of filler. we have an offer code that's $100 off each syringe. When the patient is being checked out for 2 syringes, it's only taking off $100, not $200.

I would like to be able to edit product usage on the app at any time, not just at checkout.

Please add a botox bank function... i.e. we have a 100u, 150u or 200u bank so we need a better way to keep track of this in Blvd system instead of free texting notes on their profile.

It would be so helpful if there was some way to easily see/identify clients who have memberships. Currently the only way to see is if you go into their profile and look or at checkout when discounts are applied. We are a medspa and our memberships offer discounts on botox, however there is no way in your membership settings to create an automated discount for this service since it is a product price determined by unit; our providers have to manually enter the discount which they don't know to do unless they go into the client profile to see (which just creates more work for busy providers). Currently I have tagged all the clients with memberships and created tags to identify which membership tier they have so it can be seen from the appointment calendar and next to the clients name so providers can easily identify what membership they have and discount appropriately; the problem with this is that I will have to regularly scan for new memberships to tag them for identification which creates more work. In sum, a membership identifier that is immediately attached to the client's profile when they sign up would be amazing, also - if you could create membership settings that add the automatic discount to products/services that are priced by unit would be a HUGE game changer for medspas using your software. Thank you!

We would love to have the ability in the checkout screen to add quantities to services. I.e. ( Extra Product charges are $XX per ounce used. If we used 3 additional ounces, that would be 3 extra product charges.). Currently we can't do that in the checkout screen. We have leave checkout, edit the appointment, and add it to the appointment, or we have to change the price however in our service report of services sold in a day, having thats numbers would help with product usage etc

I love boulevard so far, but this was almost a deal breaker when I was looking for a management platform. We do IV infusions, injections, etc. As of now, staff will have to manually input every item we use for each service because of the limitation to one product per service. For example, one of our IV infusions contains Vitamin C, Magnesium, Calcium, Trace Minerals, B6, B12, B-Complex, Glutathione, and Taurine. Let's add in the IV fluids bag, the IV catheter, the tubing, the syringes and needles used to make the mix. This becomes very time-consuming to have to enter each as an added service or product and adjust amounts used. Also, those items show on the receipt, which is not necessarily something we want every client to see. I decided to give boulevard a shot anyway, but this may not work out for us long-term.
