   you can! when you click on use a giftcard at checkout, it will first prompt you to swipe the giftcard. but if you click the x that appears in the right side of the swipe bar, it will then allow you to paste/type in a giftcard number.

   swiping a giftcard however should not be the default option, and also giftcards should appear at checkout the same way wallet does!
