Is there any update on this feature? Having the ability to not have new clients books with certain therapists is getting critical. Also I'd like to "vote" for Monica's point below - the ability to have it be service specific too would be great. But at the very least the ability to block certain therapists from new clients is mission critical.

The Problem
Many seasoned service providers (e.g., hairstylists, massage therapists, personal trainers) reach a point where their schedules are full, and they prefer to maintain relationships with existing clients. However, the current system doesn't allow them to filter who can book. This creates several challenges:

Providers have to manually decline or reschedule new client appointments, creating friction.

New clients may feel frustrated after booking only to be told they can’t be accommodated.

This increases admin overhead and reduces the provider’s satisfaction with our platform.

The Solution
Introduce a “New Client Booking Restriction” toggle in provider settings:

ON: Only existing clients (defined by prior confirmed bookings or profile connection) can book.

OFF: All clients can book, as per current default behavior.

Optionally, providers could still enable a waitlist or custom message for new clients.

Benefits
Improves provider satisfaction and retention — gives them more control over their schedule and clientele.

Enhances user experience — no more miscommunication or declined appointments for new clients.

Drives trust in the platform — we support the growth of providers through their full career lifecycle.

Sets us apart — few booking platforms offer this level of nuanced control.

If we could enable certain services to only be available for online booking if they are established clients. This would be useful for services that require a consultation prior.

I often have staff members including myself, where we want any clients that are currently coming to us to be able to book online, but they don't want new clients that they have never seen before. Either there could be a button where you turn on or off for each staff memeber, or create a way for staff to pick a list of clients they will allow to book online.

Also having the ability for it to be service specific. So someone could take new clients for one service, but only repeat clients for a different service they provide.

Ability to allow each service provider to accept existing patients, new patients or both. Some service providers do not want to be booked online with new patient.

We have providers that are not accepting new clients so we have them turned off for online booking. It would be so awesome if there was a way for clients to book online but be screened as an existing client of that technician if possible. Or submitted as a request to book with them even.

how to turn off the online booking option for certain clients or certain stylists. lets say they are chair rental and you want the new clients to go to your commission stylists, or a stylist isn't taking any new clients.

We have a couple stylists that do not want new clients to be able to serve their existing clients. Since the client can log into the booking widget with their email, they should be able to "unlock" their stylist when they log in and then be able to online book. This would prevent new clients from booking online with a stylist that does not want the new client. Being able to toggle on and off for each stylist would be amazing.

Some stylists don't want new clients. It would be nice if new clients weren't able to book with them, but still allow their existing clients to book online.

We should be able to inactivate certain stylists when booking. For example, two of our stylists don't want new clients so when booking, they shouldn't pop up as an option to book someone with them.

This is really helpful for salons that are training new staff, have staff that want to have their appointments available only for previous clients, or if a staff is planning a departure and shouldn't be taking new clients.

In either case, having a way to prevent certain stylist from being booked for new clients, but still be able to be booked online would be useful!
