We lost a chargeback after a client received $200 in services, tried to pay with a deactivated fraudulent gift card, and then agreed in writing via Boulevard SMS to be charged on her credit card. She later disputed it—and we lost.
This is unacceptable.
We’ve had multiple fraud cases through Boulevard’s online gift card system. Our last case involved one cardholder buying eight $206 gift cards at once—a huge red flag that the system missed. We never experienced this type of fraud with our previous software.
