if a staff member is checking someone out and rings up a product with zero stock, they should be warned that they are about to sell a product that is not in stock/the product should not come up like it is available for purchase.

Running frequent inventory checks doesn’t solve the issue when the system still allows staff to sell products showing an inventory of 0. It’s not feasible to manually monitor stock levels constantly. There should be an automatic email alert when a product is low—or completely out. Even better, allow us to set a PAR level for each product and receive an alert when inventory reaches or drops below that threshold.

Allow notifications to be sent out to account holders when a product quantity reaches a certain threshold.
This helps to keep product placement orders organized.

I would like to be notified when stock is getting low so I can order more products.

There is a minimum inventory field, but it's of no use without notifying us when we drop below that minimum!
