Eventually those points need to expire at some time. From a marketing perspective it gets people in before they expire. -- but then you need to have a record of the expiration as well and send out reminder emails about using them.

The current email goes out 2 days before an opening. This is not last minute, its people planning their week. Additionally it needs to be specific to the person who has an opening. Integrate! If you have more than one person on the schedule it is pointless, the client will always pick the person with one opening vs 4 openings...they assume the one with 1 opening is better.
