Booking Flow Feedback – Availability Visibility & Cart Issues
I’m writing with some consistent issues we’re seeing with the booking flow that are creating confusion for our clients and friction in booking.
Issue 1: Customers can’t easily see availability across a full day
Right now, clients have to:
click on a specific time
see which practitioners are available
back out and try different times repeatedly
This makes it very difficult to understand the overall schedule for a given day. What customers actually want is:
a clear view of all available practitioners for a selected day
and the times each one is available
The current flow feels like guessing rather than browsing, and many clients assume we’re fully booked when we are not.
Issue 2: “First Available” is easily missed
Many clients don’t notice the “First Available” option and instead select a specific practitioner. This creates problems because:
they may choose someone who isn’t working that day
they then see limited or no availability
and assume we’re booked
This is leading directly to lost bookings.
Issue 3: Cart is unclear and hard to manage
Once a service is added to the cart:
there is no obvious trash/delete icon
there is no clear instruction that the cart must be cleared to search new times
As a result, customers get stuck and don’t understand why they can’t change their selection.
Overall impact
These issues are causing:
customers to abandon bookings
customers to believe we don’t have availability when we do
increased front desk support needs
At the end of the day, the most important function of the platform is to make booking easy and intuitive. Right now, the flow is creating unnecessary friction and confusion.
What would help most:
A daily availability view showing all practitioners and their open times
A more prominent and clearer “First Available” option
A clearly visible way to edit or remove items from the cart
Fewer steps required to explore availability
We’d really appreciate this being considered as a priority improvement. It’s a consistent pain point for both our clients and our team.
