Allow Memberships and Recurring Membership Charges to Be Assigned to a Provider
Boulevard does not allow memberships (including recurring membership renewal charges) to be assigned to a specific provider. This prevents accurate provider production tracking and reporting.
Membership charges are processed through the membership billing system and apply directly to the business, but there is no way to attribute those charges to an individual provider.
Requested Enhancement
Add the ability to assign a provider to a membership so that both:
• the initial membership purchase, and
• all recurring membership renewal charges
Functional Requirements
1. Provider Assignment Field
• Add a required or optional provider attribution field on each membership record.
• Provider assignment should be selectable from the provider list.
2. Recurring Charges Follow Provider Attribution
• Once a provider is assigned to a membership, all recurring membership payments should automatically be attributed to that same provider.
3. Reporting Integration
• Membership revenue should display in provider-based production reports.
• Reports should include total membership sales and recurring payments tied to the provider.
4. Editable Provider Assignment
• Admin/staff should be able to update the provider assigned to a membership if needed.
• Changes should apply to future recurring charges.
5. Audit Log (Preferred)
• Track changes to provider assignment (who updated it and when).
Business Impact
• Membership revenue cannot currently be tracked by provider.
• Provider production reports are incomplete and inaccurate.
• This affects performance tracking, commission calculations, and internal reporting.
Expected Outcome
Once implemented, membership revenue (initial + recurring charges) will be properly attributed to the assigned provider, allowing accurate provider production reporting.
