Visual Appointment Status Using Color Intensity
Feature Request: Visual Appointment Status Using Color Intensity
Please add the ability to visually distinguish appointment statuses directly on the Boulevard calendar using different intensities of each service's existing or other color.
Currently, appointments are color-coded by service, but it is difficult to see who is confirmed, checked in, waiting, receiving a service, running late, or completed without opening individual appointments.
Suggested statuses:
Unconfirmed: Very pale, semi-transparent service color.
Confirmed: Normal service color.
Arrived / Checked In: More saturated service color.
Waiting: Darker shade with a clearly visible WAITING indicator.
In Service: Deep, rich service color.
Running Late: Warning border or icon.
No-Show: Distinct warning indicator. Automatically cancelled after our selected late status.
Completed / Paid: Muted color or another clearly distinguishable appearance.
Waiting is especially critical. Once a guest checks in, the calendar should clearly indicate whether they are still waiting or have actually started receiving their service.
Ideally, Boulevard could also display how long the guest has been waiting and automatically flag appointments exceeding a customizable waiting threshold (for example, 5, 10, or 15 minutes).
Businesses should be able to customize the status appearance while preserving the original service colors.
The goal: Allow the front desk, providers, and management to understand the entire appointment flow at a glance, without opening individual appointments or deciphering tiny icons. Tiny icons are hard to see even on a large iMac screen and we are forced to open each appointment to check the status or go to another screen, rather than seeing all statuses at a glance
