We currently have our massages in the system like this:

Service - Signature Massage
modifiers (must choose one): 30 minute, 60 minute, 90 minute

The base service is for like 30 minutes and $0, then the modifiers adjust the timing and price to match our service menu.

This is much easier for online catalog management than a whole list of every massage and every length that we offer.

The problem is: If someone has a specific price or timing issue for one or all of these (for instance they level up and their pricing increases), I cannot adjust them individually at the service provider level since they are modifiers.

So, I can try to make them add-on services, BUT, I can't then use my existing 30 minute massage as the add-on, because the timing will be wrong since I can't have a base service of 0 minutes. I also can't require a selection of an add-on service, so people will inevitably book the 0 minute base service and expect something from me.

So, now I am stuck trying to work on pricing for people who have leveled up, and keeping my online catalog clean. And it is just kind of a mess.

So, short version: Allowing a 0 minute base service with mandatory add-on services would allow everyone to provide some better online catalog curation without much additional infrastructure on Boulevard's end.

The alternative is to expose modifier pricing at the service provider level, but that seems much messier on the back end.
