Client Portal (catch-all idea)
Catch-all idea for a client-facing portal. To help the product team prioritize the functionality you need, vote for more specific ideas like:
-Clients view past and upcoming appointments
-Clients can add or update payment method on file
-Clients can manage their own memberships
-Clients can see gift card balances
Hey Folks!
We love to see your input on how our product can better meet your needs. We’re excited to share that as of Thursday last week, all Boulevard customers can link a client portal login experience directly from their own website, and clients can also access client portal from self-booking. Once logged in, clients will see all of their past appointments and can manage upcoming appointments. To learn more, check out the changelog post.
While the client portal idea is being marked as “complete” today, we’re not done.
We’ve already received a lot of feedback on what other functionality you’d like to see for your clients. Please keep it up - we’d love to have you weigh in on some other client portal-related requests to help prioritize our roadmap:
- Send clients secure link to collect credit card information
- Have a portal for clients to safely enter credit card information when not booking online
- Allow clients to manage memberships themselves
- Allow clients to view completed forms
- Allow clients to see account balances and loyalty points
- Automatic late cancellation charges
Best,
The Boulevard Client Experience Product Team

We need a client portal. I thought this was coming soon--was told about it when I signed up with Blvd in Sept '22.

please please make sure all companies are able to require cc "on file" without having to pre charge for every appt otherwise it wont be any better than mindbody. Main reason leaving mindbody is because after 5 years they still wont require cc on file for every appt like i need. Whats the time line on this. people posted that they been waiting 2 years. I was under the understanding that there was an app when i did the demo til i spent money. I am tempted to hold off on switching from mindbody til after app is complete as this is important to have easy online booking where clients can see their appts, history, and move their appt date and time easily from phone anywhere. i very rarely ever use a computer. the professional app needs a lot of work too!

I had no idea that when I signed on that this wasn't already built... My old platform as clunky as it was allowed clients to manage all of their appointments on their own...

We switched from Booker (we LOVE Boulevard btw) and our guests HATE the online booking. They can't see any past appointments, how many vouchers they have, no ability to cancel/change appoinments and they can't see who's available at a given time. Online booking platform needs TLC!

My clients love having an app that they can schedule from. I know a lot of my clients are upset we don't have one with this system so hopefully we can get one soon

There should be a mobile app available for clients so they can manage new appointments or see when their last appointment was. Most clients forget when the last time their service was or delete their confirmation emails for upcoming appointments. a mobile app specifically for them would make business a lot better for all of us.

Ability for clients to have an online profile. Allowing them to rebook, cancel, see past and future appointments.

Our clients on MindBody loved being able to login and look at their standing appts. We have clients coming in every 2-3 weeks and booked anywhere from 3-5 appts out as we ask them all to do that. They cannot view the existing booked appts now to manage them to reschedule on their own. They call us and we have to do it for them which takes up our time when it could easily be fixed. It is our job to serve the client's needs but this seems like a no-brainer. I hope it is implemented.

Clients should have an account and profile when booking online. There are clients upset they can not see history with leads to them booking a service with someone they end up being unhappy with and ends up coming back to us. It also sometimes creates a duplicate profile for them, and we don't always catch it, and again effects the services and prices.

Currently clients can only make an appointment in BLVD and have to rely on emails or texts to look up existing appointments.
A client login would allow them to access their existing and previous appointment history.

Giving clients the power to see their past appointment dates and services so that they can self-book with this knowledge.

Clients should be able to view their own appointments online. This helps reduce no shows.

Also clients are not allowed to book multiple apt at once. Example:A client wants to book 4 haircuts every 6 weeks at one time they cant they are only allowed to book one haircut and a time. I had sooo many clients complain they hate it hate it.

Clients should be able to use their login to see past appointments and for those clients who prebook they should be able to see and manage all future appointments.
If scheduled so far in advance, many people forget the dates and times of their future appointments and don't want to have to call the salon every time to find out or reschedule if necessary.
