No more duplicate clients
If a returning client books online for the first time it creates a new profile even though they are giving the exact same information. This is a major problem because the front desk doesn't know there are duplicate profiles and when closing out the client we check the history to know the price. This has caused clients to be overcharged and then we have to deal with a refund.

This needs to be done ASAP! We keep merging the same client profiles over and over again and since the profiles are identical we must alter one profile, save it then go back to merge and merge the 2 unnecessarily created profiles!

There is also not a way to charge new clients and existing clients a different deposit fee when they book. It is critical to keep data clean and organized. New clients and existing clients should not follow the same path when booking, they are not the same.

in vagaro there is a merge feature that shows the percentage that accounts are likely to be the same clients. for example if they have the same name and emails or phone number this might be a 90%. Any form of merge recommendation would save us tons of time and organize better data.

A duplicate button that shows all duplicate profiles, or a report that shows all duplicates.

too many clients make a new profile when scheduling online! we don't know how many multiple profiles there are until we see a returning client marked as new. it would be nice to see possible multiple profiles....by same numbers and same names.

Even a report that shows potential duplicates would be helpful. I cobbled something together in excel to do this, but it was kind of a pain to work with. If there is an easy report (especially if it could be shown live with the "merge Clients" screen as an integrated tool it would be easy to maintain fewer duplicate profiles.

When clients are booking online, we've noticed they are sometimes creating multiple different profiles. We'd like to suggest some sort of solution to stop them for creating multiple profiles for themselves.

We need to figure out a way to not let someone with the same phone number have multiple accounts. We get 4 or 5 client profiles with the same number as a way to cheat our new client offer. We need to have a way to either block this from happening or provide an alert of the possible duplicate.

So true, as an alternative, have a report that shows duplicate clients, clients who have the same phone number, and LAST names that are very similar. If we make a typo in a last name, we have a duplicate client and there is no way to find out. Our last software had a search that said "sound like"and that was awesome to find those awkward duplicates.
The issue with all the dupe clients is that is skews the RETENTION REPORT completely and that is the pulse of the business! -

you need to have all info available when merging clients, not just the name, number and email. Some duplicates have all of those, so you can't tell which is the correct one to merge.

Flag when creating a client that already exists in the system.
Currently, we are able to add 1 client multiple times and the system does not flag us.

It would be really cool to be able to generate an interactive report of potential duplicate clients, and merge them directly from that screen. Similar to how merging clients looks now, just more on a mass scale. Maybe only have it available for Admin permissions too? I like to do backend upkeep when I have a slow day, and this would make it a lot easier. :)

When merging duplicate profiles it would be great if we could see dates. Which profile was created first. Knowing this would be very helpful so we can assure we save the most updated information / contact info

We have many clients that are duplicates, but it is hard to find them. A report of potential duplicates would be awesome.
