Retention Reporting
We would like a report that essentially says "of all the clients the barber sees, X% of them come back to them or the shop." A tech world corollary would essentially be customer churn rate. Screenshot of an example from Booker below (the entire screen lists all barbers, only 1 shown here) and raw data is attached. I'm also 99% sure I brought this up during initial sales calls and was told it could be done on Boulevard, both for new clients and existing.
On the data set, it's generated by pulling all clients that came in on the specified month (March) and then pulling all their appointments during the specified return period (120 days) and who they saw. Then it's just a lookup formula to find clients with the same barber, with a different barber, or no appointments. Booker also has a tag for first time clients so that those could be calculated separately from return clients as those are 2 very different metrics that are important in their own way. The little dropdown on the screen shot that says "all" has options for New and Existing. Even if this report didn't exist in Booker, there was enough exportable information on my end that I could calculate it myself. I can't see any way to export enough info from Boulevard to achieve this.
We're delighted to share our new and improved retention reporting, including updates to time frames, existing client retention, additional fields, and more. Check out our changelog here.

Right now there is only a report for new client retention. It would be nice to have a report on existing client retention

this! asap please! based on a 90day retention rate, and even choosing which month to start it from. ie, choosing oct 1-31 and those returning nov 1 - dec 31.

Can the client retention report also include retention percentage for 120 days and 150 days. Balayage or lived in color clients may have a longer return visit time. A lot of my younger stylists have clients pre book for 4/5 months

In the salon industry a new guest is not considered yours until you see them 3 times. In the salon a color client can go longer between visits. It may be a year before we see a guest 3 times, but currently the options are 30, 60, and 90 days. It would be better to have custom options and be able to see a report on guests names

Many clients only need maintenance every 4-6 months, the 90 day limit to the retention report doesn't give an accurate picture of true client retention

Would like to run a report of new clients (first time visits to the salon) with the option to break down by stylist so we can see who the new client saw for their first salon visit, and if they came back within 90 days. This would help track performance

The retention is set up to only show if New Clients rebooked. We need to be able to see all retention for all clients across the board. This is something we track monthly and technically these current numbers are not accurate since they only show New Guests.

Need to know how many clients return to each stylist -- very important for determining a stylists' individual success. How much do their clients like them as their stylist? This is a fundamental way to see. Especially because the way to manage requests depends on the consistency of reception teams, which isn't always reliable. Returning client count is a MUCH more reliable number. Thank you!

It would be great to be able to run date range, Month-over-Month and YOY reports on:
1. New Clients
2. Conversion to Membership
3. Membership retention
4. Client retention -

-Needs to have an easy and efficient way to track client retention rate by staff member (currently tracking on a 3 month cycle)
-This is a very important KPI for their business
-Could be done under custom reporting potentially?
