When booking an appointment by clicking on the calendar it should at a minimum give you some form of warning that resources are overbooked. Ideally it should look for an available resource to book first, then give the warning if none are available.
The search logic works well for resources, it is just non-functional when clicking on the calendar to book!

It isn't ideal, but we just made all of our default times the longer time and then create an accommodation for the guest to the shorter time after their first appointment.

This happens a lot with gift cards or product sales. For some reason the name doesn't take in the checkout window and then it is forever orphaned.

If nothing else there should be more/more obvious warnings about overbooking resources, booking something that a provider doesn't do, overlapping appointments, etc..
I like the idea of customization. Maybe providers could be assigned numbers for priority similar to how services are numbered for order of scheduling. That way I could have some staff at the same priority level if I don't want everyone ranked individually.
