   this is a work-around: The easiest way to access the emoji keyboard on your Mac is using the keyboard shortcut. The first step, is to open the app in which you wish to insert an emoji. Simply click in the text field for that app and press Command + Control + Space simultaneously to bring up the emoji picker.
