Inventory Tracking Enhancement: Lot Numbers and Expiration Dates
This feature would introduce the ability to track lot numbers and expiration dates for inventory items. Currently, the system only allows input of quantities, SKU/UPC, pricing, cost, category, and brand information. The proposed enhancement would:
- Add fields for lot numbers and expiration dates in the inventory management system
- Enable tracking of products by lot, improving traceability
- Allow for better management of perishable or time-sensitive inventory
- Facilitate easier recalls or identification of expired products
- Enhance reporting capabilities to include lot and expiration information
This feature would be particularly beneficial for businesses dealing with perishable goods, pharmaceuticals, or any products where batch tracking is crucial for quality control and regulatory compliance.

This is extremely important for medical aesthetic clinics - we need to be tracking lot numbers of medications - this would also mean that we need enhanced charting capabilities

This would also make it easier to update the price we paid for a product. Occasionally, we purchase neurotoxin at a lower price, and without the ability to adjust this easily, it can appear as though we have much more value in product than we really do. AR had this feature, and it was the one useful aspect they provided.

This would be very very helpful, especially because if a patient ever has a complication or non-response to treatment, the suppliers always want to know the lot numbers so they can track AEs and replace the product for us if needed.
