Reports to save current date range from one report to the next, instead of defaulting to current date

Previously, when running reports, the reporting Date Period (from and to date) would default to the exact same time period as you navigated from one report to the next report.
This feature made life so much easier and reduced reporting mistakes - especially for payroll. It was one of my favorite features in the software.
I really want this feature back. It takes me so much longer.
Additionally, I often report for strange periods that overlap months. It would be nice if you would show the current month calendar along with the previous month calendar in the "Select Period" screen.
For example. If I run payroll for last period I am running it from 11/24-12/8. This requires me to click back from December to November, then back to December again. Then I have to do this 3 times to complete all of my payroll reports.
