Allow clients to manage memberships themselves
Allow clients to view their membership status and balance, pause, or cancel memberships.
Hey folks! Exciting update: clients can now view their membership details in the client portal. By navigating to the new memberships page, they can view:
- Benefits of their membership
- Their next billing date
- The option to update their payment method on file
- Names of people they've shared their membership with (if applicable)

This launch does not include the ability for clients to pause or cancel memberships on their own, so I won't mark this idea as 100% complete just yet. Be sure to check out the Client Portal support article for a comprehensive outline of all that clients can do in the portal, and how to install it on your website so it's easy for them to find.

Empowering clients to manage their memberships directly through the Boulevard client portal would be a major step forward in improving both client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Currently, the manual process of pausing or canceling memberships creates extra work for our team and delays the client experience. Allowing clients to handle these actions themselves would streamline the process, reduce back-and-forth communication, and provide a more modern and user-friendly experience.
Including features like a prompt to pause before canceling, along with a feedback form, would also give businesses valuable insights into client preferences and reasons for cancellations. This not only helps retain more clients but also ensures that Boulevard stays ahead as a forward-thinking platform that prioritizes client autonomy and seamless business operations. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!

I don't want a client to be able to cancel their membership without talking to us first. Please make this an optional toggle, if you add it on! It is great for them to be able to view the details of their account credits, etc. I just don't want them being able to cancel without visiting with us first. Please, please, please make this an optional toggle!

Hi! It would be helpful to add a feature where our guests can see their membership details online on their end. Many have requested it. Being able to see how many credits they have, what services or products credits were used on, when their payment draft date is, which credit card is being used for drafts, membership start date, etc would be great.

Currently our memberships automatically add an account credit each month. Our customers want to view their membership online through their portal and be able to pause/cancel online. They also want to be able to view their account credit/account balance online without having to call the office.
