Time clock day by day totals in report due to overtime calculations
At the moment the time clock reports shows shift dates and their lengths and a total given the report's date parameters. In practice, one would run this report over the pay period and enter that total into their pay calculations. This current method doesn't highlight where overtime may occur. Having single day totals on the report, for instance each shift and then a day total in semi bold and then the total of all during the period shaded and bolded for the total; would allow salons to better see where these overtime shifts are occurring.
The process is currently manual in which I would put the total in my spreadsheet for payroll, then eyeball the shifts day by day to mentally detect whether the sum of that day's shift is over the overtime threshold (CA 8 hrs 2020 which means with a lunch break, I'm discerning if 3.59 hrs plus 4.52 hours after lunch is over 8. This mental math is performed ~3-6 times a week's worth of data for EACH staff member.
Without blvd adding local rules about this but providing at least the daily totals, payroll processors would save potentially minutes every payroll. (personally it would save me approximately 6.93 hours a year and at this point sometimes I may even be missing a couple minutes of overtime here and there, which is NOT what I want to do, I want to pay my staff properly and labor-board approved)

This is a very helpful idea. I really hope it gets approved. It will help payroll process and employee concerns with overtime pay.
