Loyalty Points Used as Payment Instead of Discount
We reward our customers with Loyalty points to be used on future services. When a customer redeems the loyalty points on a service the Loyalty points are used as a discount instead of a payment type. This reduces or completely removes the commission that a service provider would have received. This also skews the discount report so it shows larger discounts given than what we have actually given. Loyalty points should be same as cash.
For example, when I personally go to another company to purchase things such as the coffee shop or restaurant they use my rewards points as a payment type not a discount.
